It also pleased the coaches. Joey Boy, who is a Thai hip-hop artist, almost immediately recognized the song with all the glee of a kid realizing his favorite show was on.Saharat “Kong” Sangkapricha, another coach, hit the buzzer almost as soon as the contestant began singing.By the end of the song, all four coaches had hit the buzzer. For those who aren’t familiar with the reality show, this is the highest praise for a contestant. Four coaches, usually famous musicians, assemble teams of singers who compete in a performance competition. To choose their team members, the coaches turn their backs to the singers during the blind audition round, the point being that they’re judging the contestants on their voice rather than their appearance. When they like a singer, the coaches hit the buzzer, which turns their chairs around. When all four hit the button, that means everybody wants the contestant for their team.Chaikaewruchikorn went the extra mile. During deliberations, he also broke out into the theme song for Doraemon at the request of one of the judges, which happens at around 3:03 in the video above. In case you were curious, Chaikaewruchikorn chose Team Joey.We love this guy. We have no idea how well he’ll do, but we know that he has Kamehameha’d his way into our hearts (not sorry). For those who don’t recognize the song, listen to the original below and be the judge for yourself.last_img
